Eight & Bob Perfume

One evening during the summer holidays of 1937 on the French Riviera (Côte d’Azur), Albert met a young American student travelling around France in a convertible. They quickly took to each other and got along very well. The student was John F. Kennedy.

After just a few minutes of conversation, J.F.K. was fascinated by the scent Albert was wearing.

John's charm and friendly manner persuaded Albert to leave him a sample of his perfume along with a small message at the hotel the following morning:

"In this bottle, you will discover a touch of French glamour that enhances your American charm."

When Albert returned from his holiday, he received a letter from John in the USA, thanking him for the kind gesture and telling him what a success the perfume had been among his friends.

He asked Albert to send him eight samples:

"And if your production allows, one more for Bob."
